Hi i am reading a book( Outliers, the story of success) that proved that people born in the later months are more disadvantaged than those born in earlier months.

Excerpt:

"Recently two economists- Kelly Bedard and Elizabeth Dhuey- looked at the relationship between scores on what is called the Trends in International Math ematics and Science study, or TIMSS (math and science tests given every four years to children in many countries around the world), and month of birth. They found that among fourth graders, the oldest children scored somewhere between four and twelve percentile points better than the youngest children. That, as Dhuey explains, is a "huge effect". It means that if you take two intellectually equivalent fourth graders with birthdays at opposite ends of the cutoff date, the older student could score in the eightieth percentile, while the younger one could score in the sixty-eigth percentile. That's the difference between qualifying for a gifted program and not."

And reading on in the book, that little difference balloons as time passes. Hmm. So... if you feel screwed up, and you're born in the later months, you know what/ who to blame! (birth date/ parents)

i'm very troubled. my parents applied more pressure again yesterday to not work at starbucks. they found a job for me working for one of their friends. its so fucked up ok. i already have a job and stuff and then she and my dad suddenly pop up with one and expect me to drop my own plans and listen to them. fuck i hate them. fucking snobs. fong female snr said working at starbucks is for ite students and whatever and like omgggg its really getting me on the edge ok. my dad kept saying its my choice and then after that he keeps making fun of starbucks and saying how the office job is what will benefit my future and if i care about my future i'll take the fucking job. fuck you fuck you fuck you. why must they always try to control me and like steer in their chosen direction. and then they were getting carried away with their stupid enthusiasm about the office thing then i said i might still choose starbucks then my mum got mad and started ranting about my horrible friends and how i'm stubborn. its really not that i'm trying to go against them yknow? i just want to think about what i want. really think it through.

i mean, i originally never planned to get an office job because i just wanted to experience something else. i mean, you only have one life and i just wanted to try something different rather then just  work in an office. on the other hand of course i know the value of working as an intern and how it will benefit my resume. yes. i know.

so what should i do? :/
